Alumni Awards

The Ohio Rho Alumni Association has established three awards which are intended to recognize the contributions of alumni.

The 1905 Founders Award (Service to the Active Chapter)

  • The Ohio Rho Chapter has a rich history tracing back to 1905, and the health and vitality of the Active Chapter are key to continuing this legacy.
  • This award recognizes outstanding direct support of the Ohio Rho Active Chapter through mentoring, advising, and contributions of time and financial support.
  • Past Winners: John Pesec, Ollie Poppenberg, Jake Showalter, Bill Manus, Marc Vitantonio, Matt Farrell, Lou Radivoyevitch.

The Magnolia Award (Service to the Alumni)

  • The memory of the house on Magnolia speaks to the history of the chapter for all alumni, reminding members to value friendships in the present knowing that time to enjoy fellowship is all too brief.
  • This award recognizes outstanding effort to further the membership, unity, and goals of the Ohio Rho Alumni Association.
  • Past Winners: Howdy Baybrook, Paul Hicks.

The Marble Hall Award (Service to the Community)

  • The white floor of Marble Hall was the first thing visitors saw at the Magnolia Drive and Carlton Road houses, acting as the gateway between the chapter and the larger community.

  • Past Winners: Ed Rutkowski.
